Open Source Help

I’m building up a web page of Open Source software as a reference source.
Something that will be useful for both Geeks and non-geeks alike.
I’m not trying to make something like the FSF Directory (FSF/UNESCO Free Software Directory), but more of a collection of the best and most useful Open Source programs.
Stuff like Firefox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice. Programs that can be used as a free replacement for similar paid software, in some cases as an improvement like Firefox.
I want to try and make the presence of these free programs known to more people outside of the “tech” circle, so they don’t have to spend out money on crappy software in PC world, which usually causes more problems that the free stuff..
I’m talking about YOU, Norton Antivirus and Internet Explorer 6!!
So anyway:

I might just add, my list will be for windows stuff, at least to start with, but suggestions for any OS are welcome.

I can’t say I’m on Windows much; but, the list of stuff on http://www.theopencd.org/ pretty much covers things for me.

Are you going to put all these on a site? It would be kinda cool to do all different operating systems where users can submit programs..
Also what happened to your Spam Filter with the radio button? Sorry I can’t submit anything, i’m a Mac user..

Neo Geek took on some of my suggestions in version 0.4, so if you have javascript turned on you won’t even see the radiobox, its all automatic!
