So that’s what happens when I go away for a few days!?!
I’m just watching the keynote now, this thing rocks! Way better than any other Pocket PC phone or Smartphone or whatever that I’ve used, and I’ve used a fair few
My main reason for this is because of the functionality it has without it being huge like most smartphones are, and how fast it performs which is another serious issue with smartphones I’ve used before.
Sorry Taoski, Apple have said that they aren’t allowing 3rd party widgets. The iPhone isn’t a smartphone/platform for people to make their own programs.
They might change this in the future with new firmware or the next version of the phone, but for now you only get the widgets and apps that apple chooses to include.

I’m hoping they’ll allow people some sort of method for creating widgets and apps, that would be awesome.

Even if there are no 3rd party widgets and apps, theres nothing stopping people from making iphone targeted websites. It does support Java, and flash.

But then you’d always need an internet connection, which is a bugger
