TIME Person of the Year 2006
About bloody time!!
Only 2 working day’s left before I start my xmas holiday, and I felt like making a small present for you guys, Happy Holidays.
If anyone wants any other resolutions then just yelp, I also have the PSD if you like.
Merry Xmas!
I do love a good mystery, throw in some geekery and the promise of starbucks and I’m hooked.
This morning on my walk to work I stumbled upon a little blue gem on the floor of Waterloo Station, a 1.0GB SD card. I did a double take as I walked over it, then realizing what it was I turned round to pick it up.
My initial thought was “Great 1GB of storage for free, Score!”…
“BUT WHAT IS ON THE CARD?!!”
I hear you all shout, well for the moment I don’t have anything with a SD reader in it so I’m going to leave the floor open to speculation, suffice to say I won’t be exploring it on a windows machine, incase some evil hax0r planned the whole thing and will take over my PC the moment I plug it in.
I’ll be able to view it’s contents in a few day’s when I go home for xmas, until then I want to hear all kinds of wild theories about it’s past and contents!
Xmas present alert!! Get me 10 of these and a 10 port USB hub!!
It’s been yet another busy week and I’ve not really had a huge amount to blog about.
Still enjoying learning rails, still working all hours of the day and still taking loads of photos, I reached 60,000 views on my flickr this week.
This weekend I decided to travel back to somerset to see my family and meet up with some friends, although I nearly didn’t make it.. On the train home we stopped a few miles before my station, the train manager politely told us that the train in front of ours was on fire!!
So we were routed away from my station (Taunton) and instead to Exeter, 34 miles away! This was at 10pm, well past the bedtime of any bus in Somerset, but I was lucky enough that they station manager at Taunton told my mum what had happened when she came to collect me and she drove to find me!
So I’m having a nice relaxing weekend in the country, life is so much slower here. I went for a walk into town at 9:30am and there was nobody to be found, and the local weekly newspaper touts “biggest edition ever.. 72 pages”, while in london I’m offered 3 different free news papers every day with more content than that!!
The Macbook has not had a good week either, it’s been crashing, getting really hot and then this happened:
The keyboard/wrist rest cover has cracked, I should really sort it out but I’m can’t go without my computer for very long without going a little bit mad, maybe in the new year I’ll get it sorted.
You might have also noticed the Skype button in the sidebar, I’ve been using more and more and it’s quite useful just to show if I’m online or not. Other than that it’s been a slow news week and I’m running on empty, so I’ll just leave you with Amazon’s first dip into Ruby on Rails..
Unspun.. savour it
