How do you say it?

“Teabass”

Bass

I never even considered it before, how do you say Teabass?

  • ‘tea-bas’
  • ‘tea-base’
  • ‘teab-ass’

I’ve always called it Tea-Bass as in “cup of tea and common European freshwater perch”.

How did I come to this strange post?
I have I gone completely cuckoo bananas?

I’ve been pondering what I’m going to do with Teabass, style-wise, and I think I need a logo, I have an idea in my head, but I needed some pictures of Basses to get it just right.

So I Flickr’d Bass and was greeted with hundreds of pictures of guitars… hmmm

Anyway, what I’m getting at is there will be a new design coming soon, lots more white space and a new logo too.

Would anyone be interested in some kind of Teabass Swag?
Any suggestions for the type of swag, be it t-shirt’s, stickers or badges?

New Teabass

I’m moving to London

london

Remember my job interview at the start of the week?

It was for the position of web designer at a new web2.0 company in central London, well I got the job!!

I start in two weeks time which means I’ve got to move to London next week, I’m going to move in with my grandpa, who lives just outside of central london, for a few weeks until I find a place of my own.

This is a big step, but definatly something I want to do, I think it’s going to be an amazing experience and a great way to start my working life. Not forgetting the money too, I’ll finally be able to get a new graphics card!!

I’ve been smiling like a monkey for the past couple days, kinda walking on air. Although the move means I need to finish most of my current projects within the next week, that’s about 7 websites!!

It’s fair to say I’m pretty proud of myself, I got this job completely off my own back. I taught myself everything on my CV and I’ve been working hard to expand my portfolio and skills set over the past few months and it has really paid off.

At the moment I can’t say much about the company that has hired me, but it is very cool! I’m still going to blog just as much as ever, keeping the world up to speed on my life (as if the world cares!!) and there will be some really interesting posts coming in the near future.

On last thing..

.. I want to thank each and every person who reads and comments on my blog, you have all helped me out with opinions, views and support, I don’t think I would have got this far without such a good readership.

I’m sure there will be some kind of beta testing coming in the near future, I might be able to swing so free passes your way ;)

Minted Teabass

mint

I’ve bought myself Mint stats for Teabass.

I had to try it out before I installed it on a clients website, and it was so good that I kept it!

It’s an impressive package and really worth £16, the only thing I miss after moving over from Google Analytics is the graphs, although there maybe a pepper for it, I have not looked yet.

If you like to know exactly whats going on with your site then I strongly suggest you give it a try, there is a demo you can see here too.
